GOTHIC FIRE || There are worse things out there then darkness.

DEATH TO SPARX

"Bring it on you creepy little bastards!" I growled standing there, surrounded, legs spread, fists ablaze and grinning threw it all. I loved that rush! I never thought such anger could give someone such a kick.

"There's too many, GF!" yelled Sparx as she darted back and forth.

"Ha! The more the merrier!" I snarled. Slowly the black mass started to close in on me, Sparx was zipping around and like someone blew the starter whistle at a race, they all pounced. I threw fireball after fireball in every direction, nailing a demon here and there. Somersaults, back flips, occasionally grabbing a demon and slamming it's worthless body hard against the ground then watching it with great excitement as I burned it to black ash.

"GF! We need to get out of here!" yelled Sparx as she zipped past my head.

"What?!...and leave the party so soon?" I said sarcastically while dodging demons and throwing more fireballs, "Besides these little freaks could have been the cause to my unjustly death and there is no way I'm gonna let these things cause anymore wrongful deaths." Suddenly one of the demons decided to take advantage of my slight distraction and lunged towards my face to which I managed to lean back and turn slightly sideways so it would fly past me and miss me. I could feel a slight breeze as it screeched past my head just enough to cause my hair the blowing in the wind look. But then.....CHOMP!

"SPARX!!" I screamed as I watched the demon land back on the ground. I tried to watch it but it blended in with the other demons. That little shit! Now I was pissed! If anything was gonna take out that annoying little speck, it was going to be me! I was throwing more and more fireballs and the demons seemed to sense my anger. It seemed like they were mocking me. With every one I took out it felt like a thousand more would take its place but I was more interested in getting the one that took out Sparx. They closed in and I continued to fight when I noticed a demon not trying to attack. Something about it seemed odd. It stood there looking what appeared like it was going to be sick. Shaking and stumbling. The other demons started to grab my legs. I tried to swat them off but my attention stayed with that one demon. Suddenly without warning the little beast rose into the air, just a foot away from my face, like an invisible person had picked it up from the scruff of its neck and there it stayed in mid-air. The other demons didn't seem all that important to me as I watched this thing in front of me start to shake with a very ill look upon it's face. Not that it was any pretty to start off with. I then grinned. It became clear to me. This was the one that decided to swallow Sparx whole. Judging by the look on its face, I think it was coming to a decision that that might have been a bad idea. A slight giggle slipped from my lips as I spoke to it, "Awwww...what's the matter little one? Did something you ate not agree with you?" The beast raised up another foot and shook intensely and then it happened. KA-BOOM!! Demon guts galore and there was Sparx.

"THAT....was disgusting!" she screamed and suddenly she started to glow brighter and brighter. So bright it was like trying to look into the sun. I had to raise my hand over my eyes to block the bright white light. The light had created a beam of light around me. Like I was under a spotlight. The demons screeched in pain and ran to the shelter of the darkness. The light was incredibly hot and the ones that were caught in the light bursted into black dust instantly. They never had a chance. A second smaller beam of light shot past me. I looked back and saw what looked like a doorway, a portal of some kind.

"Go now! There will be plenty of chances to kill these things another time!" yelled Sparx, "Hurry! I can't hold this up too much longer!" I was reluctant but she was right. I can't rid them all in one night. I started towards the portal when something caught my eye. A figure, a female figure, just off in the darkness, right at the edge of the circle of light. I squinted my eyes trying to see but Sparx was so bright. Red hair? Black eyes?

"GOTHIC FIRE!" yelled Sparx, "MOVE YOUR ASS!"

"Dammit!" I mumbled to myself and dove into the portal. Sparx slowly maneuvered herself to the front of the portal then darted in and the doorway slammed closed. Demons has jumped towards the portal but it was too late. The figure in the dark was now standing where the portal was. She looked down at the demons then back at the now blank space.

"Hmmmm...how interesting." she had started to herself, "Now where have I heard those words before...'unjustly death'." She looked back down at the demons who looked back up at her like an obedient pet waiting for attention from the owner. When suddenly....SMACK! She flew and smacked into a wall but caught herself before she hit the ground. A hand flew out of the darkness and grabbed her by the throat, raising her above the ground.

"YOU!" she struggled, "The dark lord should have disposed of you when he had the chance!" The demons all screeched and hissed causing the attacker to look down at them but when he looked back to his capture she was gone. A black portal had appeared behind her and she slipped away but her words echoed in the air as the demons started to disappear into the darkness.

"Another time....SOUL HUNTER!" she replied as her laughter pierced the air then faded away.
